The Tumi Tracer Recovery Program is exclusive and complimentary to their customers. A special metal plate that is permanently attached to a Tumi product contains a unique 20-digit number. It is entered into the manufacturer’s data base along with the owner’s contact information.
When a lost or stolen Tumi Tracer item is found, the finder can call the free, internationally-available hotline number (732.748.8864) printed on the metal plate. Tumi will notify the customer with information on how the item can be recovered. Registered Tumi products allow the customer to have access not only to the Recovery Program but also to special events, product updates, and exclusive offers. Tumi is said to unite about 99% of lost Tumi luggage with their rightful owners. That is cause for a sigh of relief!
All Tumi brand products come with a 5-year warranty except those sold at outlet centers. (FYI: Outlet Tumi bags do not carry the warranty nor are they available for the tracer program.)
